SmartXide Tetra is a one-of-a-kind CO2 laser for acne scars, wrinkles, dark spots, sun spots, and more. We can easily adjust the power, density and pulse durations to tailor and optimize the treatment to each individual.
The SmartXide CO2 allows us the versatility to perform a broad range of treatments, from a CoolPeel to a fully-ablative CO2 laser. The difference between the treatments essentially comes down to the downtime involved; you can expect approximately 5 to 7 days of downtime with the fully-ablative treatment. The CoolPeel however is approximately 1 to 3 days of downtime but requires multiple treatments to achieve the desired result.

We are thrilled to offer CoolPeel laser treatments! CoolPeel is an innovative way to safely and comfortably deliver the benefits of a traditional CO2 resurfacing treatment. By targeting only the superficial layer of skin tissue, damaged skin is removed, revealing younger and healthier-looking skin. Think of our CoolPeel laser as a lighter setting on our SmartXide Tetra CO2 device, offering the same benefits of the more-intense CO2, but over a series of sessions.

Traditional CO2 treatments however have always been associated with considerable downtime. A CoolPeel laser treatment can only be done using the SmartXide Tetra CO2 laser. Only Tetra can control its output to deliver high energy in extremely short-pulses to deliver impressive superficial, skin resurfacing results without the lingering heat that would traditionally damage the surrounding skin. The lack of unnecessary heat is why we call it cool – get it? – and how you get an immediate aesthetic effect with minimal downtime.
Many advances have been made to improve the side effects of CO2 treatments but ONLY the CoolPeel can deliver a fractional ablative treatment without the downtime. There is minimal risk of hyperpigmentation, demarcation or induced infection.
One of the main benefits of a CoolPeel is that there is minimal downtime. You should expect to be a little red, as if you have a sunburn, for a day or two, but nothing should prevent you from returning to your normal daily activities. Your skin may feel dry and scaly as it heals so it is important to keep the skin hydrated.
CoolPeel treatments are quick, and can be uncomfortable yet tolerable. While there is no need for anesthesia or localized numbing, we provide complimentary numbing cream for additional comfort. After the treatment your skin will feel hot like a sunburn for a few hours.
A full-face CoolPeel treatment only takes about 10 minutes! The longest part of your appointment will actually be the topical numbing beforehand, which takes about 30 minutes.
The number of treatments required will vary depending on your skin concerns and goals, but a typical CoolPeel treatment plan includes three sessions, followed by maintenance as needed. Your medical professional can determine the right treatment plan for you based on your individual needs and desired results.
Because CoolPeel exclusively focuses on the outermost layer of the skin, combining the treatment with either a Morpheus8 or microneedling treatment is a popular option to target multiple layers of the skin in a single session. Combination treatments are proven to have the most transformative results for skin rejuvenation.
