PREVENTATIVE ANTI-AGING INJECTIONS

Botox and Dysport are the epitome of beauty and science, using naturally-occurring proteins to gently soften and relax the muscles that cause wrinkles. These line and wrinkle relaxers work to smooth out stubborn creases and leave you looking like the best version of yourself—consistently and in any lighting.

What to Expect:

First, you’ll consult with one of our licensed aesthetic providers to discuss your concerns and treatment goals with Botox or Dysport.

The treatment only takes a few minutes, and involves injecting low doses of the neurotoxin into targeted muscles using tiny needles. Most patients agree it’s basically painless!

Some redness or swelling at the injection site is normal and usually resolves within an hour.

You can expect to see the full effects of your Botox or Dysport treatment in about 2 weeks.

You’ll still look like you, with fewer expression lines! We believe in creating a natural-looking appearance that enhances your beauty, not changes it.

MASSETER SLIMMING WITH BOTOX

The masseter is the large muscle in your jaw that helps you chew. An enlarged masseter can change the shape of your face, sometimes creating a masculine, square jawline. Neurotoxins like Botox and Dysport can help to slim down the masseter muscles for a more feminine and refined jawline.

Say Goodbye to Jaw Pain and Discomfort

Jaw clenching and grinding can lead to jaw pain and discomfort, but Botox can help to relax the masseter muscles, reducing pain and discomfort. It’s a safe and effective solution for those who suffer from jaw pain.

Relieve TMJ Pain with Masseter Botox

Do you suffer from TMJ pain? Botox has been proven to be a highly effective solution for those with TMJ pain. The masseter Botox treatment at GLO Bar is performed by our highly trained and experienced medical providers, ensuring that you receive the best possible care and results.

FAQS

Botox is a brand name for a type of cosmetic treatment that uses small injections of a purified form of botulinum toxin. Botox works by temporarily paralyzing or weakening specific facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Like Botox, Dysport is made from purified proteins that work to temporarily relax the muscles responsible for wrinkles. While the end goal is the same, the molecular makeup of Botox and Dysport is slightly different, and as a result they have different dosing requirements. One unit of Botox is equivalent to approximately three units of Dysport. The choice between Botox and Dysport simply comes down to your injector’s recommendation and personal preference.

Botox and Dysport are commonly used to treat a range of cosmetic and clinical conditions. Some of the most popular treatment areas include:

  • Forehead lines and wrinkles

  • Crow’s feet around the eyes

  • Frown lines (glabella or 11 lines)

  • Bunny lines on the nose

  • Lip lift

  • Gummy smile

  • Chin dimpling

  • Platysma (neck) bands

  • Masseter (jaw) slimming

You can usually start seeing results of Botox and Dysport injections within 3-7 days after your treatment. The full results typically take 2 weeks. The timing and extent of the results may vary from person to person.

The results of Botox can last anywhere from 3-4 months, which varies from person to person. Over time, the effects of Botox will gradually wear off as the muscles begin to regain their normal movement and tone.

If you choose not to come in every 3-4 months for Botox or Dysport treatments, your muscles will gradually regain their normal movement and tone, and the results of your Botox treatment will eventually fade.

Botox and Dysport injections are performed using very small needles, and our patients report that the injections are relatively painless. Some people may experience slight discomfort or pinching during the injections, but the sensations are generally brief and mild.

Botox is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that has minimal downtime. Most people are able to return to their normal activities immediately after their Botox treatment, although some minor side effects may occur.

Common side effects of Botox and Dysport include temporary redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. These side effects are generally mild and should resolve within a few hours to a few days. Some people may experience headaches or an unevenness as results take effect, but these side effects are typically mild and resolve quickly.
