YOUR BODY’S OWN LIQUID GOLD

Platelet-rich-fibrin (PRF) is a concentration of a patient’s own blood fibrin that can be injected or micro needled to rejuvenate the skin, particularly the under eyes, smile lines, neck, and scalp for hair restoration. Sometimes called “liquid gold” because of its potent growth factors, PRF is a regenerative skin treatment that works by stimulating underlying collagen production and eliciting a wound-healing response, rejuvenating your cells from the inside out!

What to Expect:

First, you’ll consult with one of our licensed aesthetic providers to discuss your concerns and treatment goals.

Then we’ll draw a small sample of your blood and spin it down to extract the beautiful gold concentrate.

Then, we either inject or micro needle the PRF (or both!) into your skin to stimulate new collagen, or hair growth if injecting in the scalp!

Pain and downtime is minimal—you can expect redness at the injection sites and swelling that may last a few days.

In a few weeks, you’ll begin to notice an improvement in your skin or hair! For best results, repeat monthly for a series of 3-6 sessions. Ask your provider about adding on PRF injections to any of our treatments!

PRF INJECTIONS

Unlike filler which offers immediate results, the results of PRF injections are gradual and will become more noticeable over time, but are longer-lasting. You may be surprised to learn that many people are actually not a good candidate for under eye filler, but virtually anyone is a candidate for PRF injections.

Under eye filler will not address dark circles or thinning skin under the eyes—it can only add volume. PRF does it all, and does it with your body’s own growth factors for a more natural result. We can inject PRF anywhere that can benefit from an improvement in skin quality. Most common areas include: under eyes, smile lines, and “tech neck” lines.

PRF HAIR RESTORATION

PRF injections in the scalp increase stimulate hair follicles that are not properly functioning and trigger a wound-healing response within the tissue. Because the PRF concentrate comes from your own blood, the body will more easily accept the treatment and increase tissue regeneration naturally. Tissue growth within the follicle yields larger, healthier hair follicles that can produce thicker hair.

PRF MICRONEEDLING

PRF ezGEL

Looking for an all-natural filler alternative? Our newest treatment, PRF ezGEL, is a 100% autologous, regenerative, and volumizing gel for skin rejuvenation. PRF ezGEL is derived from a small sample of your own blood and is processed with a special centrifuge (just like PRF), but undergoes additional steps of cooling and heating. The result? An additive-free, all-natural injectable gel packed with albumin and growth factors. PRF ezGEL can be injected in the under eyes, smile lines, temples, and other areas commonly treated with filler. Not only is this treatment a natural approach to correct volume loss and signs of aging, it helps to build collagen and improve the skin quality for long-lasting results. Patients can expect best results after a series of three treatments spaced a month apart, followed by maintenance as needed (usually one session per year).

FAQS

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a natural substance derived from the patient’s own blood that contains high concentrations of growth factors and other healing compounds. It can be injected or micro needled into the skin to stimulate the skin’s healing and regenerative capabilities.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) are both derived from the patient’s own blood and contain a high concentration of growth factors that promote healing and tissue regeneration.

PRP is made by spinning blood in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from other components, while PRF is made by spinning blood in a different way that results in a fibrin clot with a higher concentration of platelets and white blood cells.

PRP is more liquid while PRF is more of a gel, which makes it ideal for both injecting and applying topically during microneedling procedures. We prefer PRF over PRF because it is more concentrated and believed to have a stronger effect on the skin.

Results from PRF injections can vary depending on the individual response, the treatment area, and the number of treatments received. In general, results from PRF injections may last up to 2 years.

The number of treatments needed for PRF injections can vary depending on individual needs and treatment goals. In general, multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results. Most patients receive 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

PRF can be injected anywhere that can benefit from an improvement in skin quality. Most common areas include: under eyes, smile lines, and “tech neck” lines.

Downtime from PRF injections is typically minimal, with some mild redness or swelling for up to a week. Most people can resume their daily activities immediately following the procedure.

You may feel some discomfort during PRF injections, similar to receiving filler or other injections, but most patients agree it’s not painful. We can apply topical numbing cream to help minimize any discomfort.

Yes, PRF injections are generally considered safe when performed by a licensed and experienced medical professional. PRF is obtained from your own blood, so there is no risk of an allergic reaction. However, as with any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, which your provider will discuss with you.
